Higgsfield’s Claude workflow ends inside After Effects — with the layers still editable
The new motion-design workflow can generate assets, build and animate a composition, render the result and leave creators with a normal After Effects project they can keep changing.

What happened
Higgsfield has expanded its AI motion-design workflow so Claude can move from a brief into an editable After Effects composition.
Higgsfield's official /use-after-effects workflow lets a creator provide a brief and visual assets, then asks the agent to build the composition, animate the important elements and preserve the layers, keyframes and controls for continued editing.
That last part changes the usefulness of the tool.
A lot of generative-video workflows finish with a rendered clip. It may look great, but changing a title, adjusting timing or reworking one part of the animation can mean regenerating the shot.
Here, After Effects remains the finishing environment.
Higgsfield says its motion-design agent can create animated typography, logo reveals, product promos and transitions while keeping text, colors, timing and animation as editable native elements. The same underlying agent is available through Higgsfield's MCP connections, including Claude.
The workflow
Brief and references The creator supplies the idea, existing artwork, footage or brand assets.
Asset generation Higgsfield can create additional images or visual material when the project needs it.
Composition and motion Claude directs the task while the Higgsfield integration builds the actual After Effects composition.
Editable handoff The result remains an After Effects project with layers, text, colors, timing and keyframes available for manual adjustment.
Revision is the real test
This solves one of the least glamorous but most important problems in generative production: revision.
A finished MP4 is output.
Why editable changes everything
An After Effects project is a workflow.
For a working motion designer, the difference is huge. The client changes a headline. Marketing wants the logo on screen half a second longer. The German localization breaks the layout. The creative director likes everything except one transition.
Those are normal production notes. If AI output cannot survive them, it has limited value in a real pipeline.
Higgsfield is explicitly building workflows around that reality, including localization that preserves editable text and timing.
A finished MP4 is output. An After Effects project is a workflow.
