African AI Film Festival asks entrants to explain the tools behind the film
Its rules make AI disclosure mandatory and say it will not lower a film’s score. The free regular deadline is September 30.

What Entrants Need
African AI Film Festival requires a list of the main AI tools and models used, plus a brief explanation of their role. The organizer says disclosure never counts against an entry’s score.
AI must be central to the work; minor automated color correction alone does not qualify. Films also need an African connection through the filmmaker, subject or collaboration.
Why It Matters
A small team can lose track of its tool choices during repeated revisions. Writing them down as the film develops saves a scramble at submission time and makes it easier to explain which parts you made or changed yourself.
