Film · THE SIGNAL
AKOOL’s film challenge offers three briefs: a trailer, a short or an impossible scene
Submissions close November 20. Entrants can use other tools, but AKOOL must play a meaningful part in the finished work.

Choose the brief before building the shots. It can save a small team from spending days on scenes the submission never needed.
What Happened
AKOOL’s AI Film Challenge opened September 15 with $500,000 in advertised creator rewards. The company says standout submissions may be featured before the winners are announced.
Why It Matters
A trailer needs a hook; a short needs an ending. That difference determines which shots earn their place—and when a small team can stop adding more.
Choose Your Brief
Coming Never: a 30–90 second trailer for an imaginary movie. Give viewers a reason to want the feature.
AI Short Film: tell a complete story, in any genre or language.
Impossible: build a scene, character or visual approach that AI makes possible.
Before You Enter
The application requires public posting, AKOOL branding and challenge tags. The advertised $100 entry bonus has separate conditions, including a qualifying Premium account and submission limits. Check the current rules before budgeting around a reward.
