Slapjam gives AI game makers 48 hours to ship something playable on a phone
The September 28–30 online jam requires a portrait browser game on itch.io. Test the export before the theme arrives.

THE TAKEAWAY
Get a tiny touch-controlled build running on your phone first. The jam’s 48 hours are better spent making the game than discovering that it will not export.
What Happened
Slapjam opens at 15:00 UTC on September 28 and closes at 15:00 UTC on September 30. Entrants can work alone or in teams and use AI tools for code, art, audio and design, with the tools disclosed on the submission page.
The Build That Counts
The organizers require an HTML5 game that runs in a portrait phone layout and is playable through itch.io. The theme arrives at the start. Judges will assess fun, visual appeal and how well the entry follows that theme.
Why It Matters
For a solo developer, checking touch input and browser export beforehand removes one avoidable scramble from a short deadline. It leaves more of the weekend for the part players will notice: whether the game is fun.
